Objectives:
Understand what a MVP is and how to make one.
Make a MVP as soon as possible and begin selling it as a test
Create a customer survey to begin validating their business hypotheses on their business model
Understanding the process behind prototyping.
Instruction for speaker:
Please explain how you created a prototype for your product or how you tested your service. Describe how you first made your product and your first sale. Explain how you used survey to determine whether or not to keep a feature or to pivot. Explain the successes and failures of your different prototypes. Describe how you went from your original prototype to your final product.
Questions to cover during the talk:
Did you conduct research on how to create your product or did you just create the product?
How did you determine which features to include in your MVP?
- What hypotheses did your prototype test?
Did you create the prototype by yourself or did you get a manufacturer to produce your product?
How much did it cost to produce your MVP?
How much time did it take to produce your MVP?
What is the hardest part about creating a prototype or MVP? Limited resources?
What did your MVP look like? Was it perfect?
Describe the initial feedback to your prototype?
- How did this feedback influence the next version of your product?
How did you use prototyping to explore the possibilities and customer needs and wants?
How many iterations did you go through before arriving at your final product?
How do you continue innovating as a startup?
What experimenting strategy do you use?
- Do you use split tests? If so, can you give an example?
